10.00 a.m. 
you will be welcomed by a city guide to discover the old town quarter
‘Het Patershol’. The medieval street pattern and the traditional houses from different architectural styles provide a fascinating sight. This artistic quarter is of high historic interest. Visit to ‘Het Huis van Alijn’. This museum tells the timeless story of how people lived and found ingenious solutions to the hardships of every day life.. Old curiosities can be discovered.

12.00 a.m. 
lunch at the Great Butchers’ Hall, promotion centre of regional products of East Flanders. You will be able to taste a real ‘waterzooi’, Ghent’s most traditional dish, have a drink and a cup of coffee in this amazing hall that was built in the fifteenth century as a covered meat market.

13.30 p.m. 
boat trip ‘Ghent from the water level, a different view’
Departure and arrival at the jetty of Gent Watertoerist, Graslei.
There will be live comment on the boat.

15.00 p.m. 
shopping and leisure time
